  7. Cleaning and scaling the teeth to remove plaque and tartar (hardened plaque)
  8. Applying fluoride to the teeth to help prevent cavities
  9. Taking x-rays of the teeth and surrounding tissues to check for problems that may not be visible during the visual exam
  10. Providing preventive care, such as sealants and fluoride treatments, to help protect the teeth from future damage.
