Dental tumors are abnormal growths that can occur in the mouth or jaw. They can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Dental tumors can be caused by a variety of factors, including genetics, exposure to certain substances, and previous radiation therapy.

There are several types of dental tumors that can occur, including:

• Odontogenic tumors: These tumors form in the cells that create teeth
• Salivary gland tumors: These tumors form in the glands that produce saliva
• Bone tumors: These tumors form in the bone of the jaw
• Soft tissue tumors: These tumors form in the soft tissues of the mouth, such as the gums or tongue

Treatment for dental tumors depends on the type and stage of the tumor, as well as the overall health of the person affected. Benign tumors can often be treated with surgery to remove the tumor. Malignant tumors may require more aggressive treatment, such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy, in addition to surgery.

It is important to see a dentist or oral surgeon if you notice any unusual lumps or growths in your mouth or jaw. Early diagnosis and treatment can improve the chances of a successful outcome
